Zola Jesus - Conatus (2011)
The follow-up to Stridulum II and I like it very much. The songs seem more memorable and the album flows better as a whole. Probably not one of the best albums of the year but it seems like a bit of an progression for her and still retains the dark atmospherics and soaring vocals that made Stridulum II enjoyable.
Röyksopp - Melody A.M. (2001)
Found a used CD of this for only €2 and I'd been meaning to get it for a while. I already had The Understanding, which isn't really a great album, but this is far, far better. I recognised some of the songs immediately when I heard them, i.e. 'So Easy', 'Eple' and 'Poor Leno', but overall a fabulous electronic album and will become a staple of my music collection.
