I just can't get on with much Rush at all before this album even if this may not go down well with the die hard fans but I'm not here to please. Moving Pictures, Grace Under Pressure, Power Windows and some of Hold Your Fire are by far my favourite Rush releases (never liked Signals all that much) even though their sound became more and more synth based by this time.

I think that their musicianship leant itself more to incorporate more instruments and genres than their early sound which was still Progressive but had a Blues base at times that just didn't suit them.

Onto Moving Pictures. I really do like the production on this album and I have to disagree with Janszoon on this one but that riff in Witch Hunt is superb and it sounds like it was put through a synth?

The guitar breakdown in Limelight is excellent too but I have to say that Red Barchetta is my least favourite on the album.
