As for Death Metal or Black Metal. Yeah, lyrics can be liek that, but it is all just part of the act. I do not think it is serious. That is the difference to me. Nu-Metal took itself totally serious. Death Metal and Black Metal... no so much.

I'd say, generally speaking, death metal and especially black metal bands take themselves just as, if not more seriously, than nu-metal artists. No huge nu-metal bands ever went out and murdered people, burned churches, or constantly sang about "evil" subject matter like Satan and various forms of disembowelment.
If the lyrical content of death and black metal is not meant to be taken seriously, then the aggro, whiny lyrics of nu-metal shouldn't be taken seriously either.
