yeah, but not like the church arson thing defines the entire style. Seperate the men from the myths and it is not something that is hand in hand. 99% of the style it is just an act they put on, while 1% actually do it.

The difference is, and what i mean with nu-metal taking itself seriously, nu-metal is more based on real life. Death Metal and Black Metal is mostly based in fictional life. Lyrically speaking, nu-metal is basically just grunge.. not that different. It is based more on personal lyrics, much like emo even.

Death Metal and Black metal to me is just theatrical, like I said maybe 1% actually believe the stuff they sing about.. but it boils down to the music itself and interesting ideas, nu-metal had no interesting ideas, and unlike all other styles of metal was not as diversified.
