My favorites from the album are "Lost Not Forgotten", "Outcry", and "Breaking All Illusions". I overlooked "Bridges in the Sky" my first listen through, but after reading what you wrote I re-listened to it more closely and realized it is a very quality track! Thanks for the review!
I've heard all the DT albums as well, in a bit of a strange order. My main thing with judging a DT album is how much I can stand LaBrie's vocals. I drift towards songs such as "6:00", "Caught in a Web" from Awake and "Constant Motion" or "Dark Eternal Night", but he's grown on me. I think the first DT album I heard was Octavarium and I thought it was pretty great as long as I ignored LaBrie. I really could use a whole refresher course on DT. I didn't mind Black Clouds and Silver Lining at all, especially with instrumental tracks included... I guess my top 5 would be
Octavarium
Train of Thought
Systematic Chaos
Awake
Black Clouds and Silver Linings
but I bet this album will take the fifth spot up there now, for now...
