Kylesa - 1
Kvelertak - 0
Both start with K, both covers illustrated by whatshisname from Baroness, both have excellent drumming, but I think Kylesa edges out the win for being more palatable, shorter, and more tightly executed. Kvelertak is all over the place genre-wise and it's definitely an interesting listen but the vocals never let up (which is a bad thing in this case) and as a whole it doesn't seem very cohesive.
Granted, I've listened to Static Tensions several times now and I just finished listening to Kvelertak for the first time so standby for a possible change of opinion
