Lou reed? That's an interesting one. He was pretty good. If you're going to say lou, then I'm gonna have to say bob Dylan, who actually was a pretty talented fingerpicker.
But on a more serious note, I'll say hendirx. I know, there are so many more technical guitarists. But he was about as unique as one can get. He was the missing link in the evolution of guitarists. Everything he did was just so natural.
And I'll say mark knopfler, Chet Atkins, les Paul, django Reinhardt, buckethead, paco de Lucia, John McLaughlin, Santana, bb king.
