There's no way I can truly pick one single album for each of these options, but after a few drinks my most spontaneous choice are...
Classic Rock: The Jimi Hendrix Experience—Are You Experienced?
Blues: Taj Mahal—Giant Step/De Ole Folks at Home
Jazz: Art Blakey Quintet—A Night At Birdland Vol. 1
Pop: Fleetwood Mac—Rumours
Folk: Michelle Shocked—Short Sharp Shocked
Country: Loretta Lynn—Van Lear Rose
Punk: Circle Jerks—Group Sex
Modern Rock: I have no idea what counts as "modern rock". How about Rocket from the Crypt—Live from Camp X-Ray? That's rock n roll from the past decade that's pretty fantastic, maybe it qualifies.
Psychedelic/Trippy (aka any favorite trippy album): Alien Sex Fiend—Curse
Reggae: Not sure, but whatever it is, it's probably by Toots and the Maytals.
Hip-Hop: Mr. Lif—I, Phantom
Electronic (yes I know this is painfully vague but who has the time to mention all sub-genres): Massive Attack—Mezzanine
Guilty Pleasure: Everclear—So Much for the Afterglow Sorry but this is a great pop album.
Any additional one Album (Include genre): Psychofagist—Il Secondo Tragico Some of the best avant/grindcore/jazz/weirdness I've ever heard.
