The original was okay for it's time, I do remember having a lot of fun just driving around San Francisco, splitting my time seeing how long I could get a police chase going, and how long I could be a responsible driver. The free roam was great, but the missions were kind of lackluster because there's really only so much you can do with the gameplay mechanic of driving. The sequel tried to improve on it by letting you get out of the car... but it still didn't make the game any less dull. I never got around to playing Drivthreer because I had
Grand Theft Auto III,
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, and
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas so the series kind of seemed pointless to me now. Didn't even know there were anymore games from that franchise until I saw a trailer for
Driver: San Francisco, but again I have
Grand Theft Auto IV plus The Lost and Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony.
