I can see things from both sides here. I dont think Jim was ever a "wannabe Dylan". But there's no doubt that Jim wasn't half as good as Dylan. And Jim had a great voice. But I couldn't disagree more with the statement about Dylan. It seems to be a popular idea that Dylan's songs were better when sung by other people. I don't think so at all. They are his songs and nobody can put the emotion in them like Dylan can. I also think that Dylan had a great voice.
