Definitely agreed there, Pedestrian.
Spetterist, I think that what a lot of people will say is that Coldplay seem to sound beautiful, and Chris Martin might have a sweet voice, but when you listen to lyrics, the kind of stuff you hear is "come up to meet you / tell you I'm sorry / you don't know how lovely you are". It really is pretty unimaginative stuff, and verging on cliched if you asked me.
