yeah - i dont know how it could have been a flop, its so damn good!
i love the who sell out, on which i can see for miles appears - at that time, townshend was writing some great songs e.g. " 'miles" and "mary anne with the shaky hand" and "our love was" etc. and so was entwistle with "silas stingy"and "someones coming"
musically, the who sell out is very linked to tommy, the middle chord progression in "Rael" became the basis of "its a boy", "sparks", "underture" and appears in many other songs on tommy.
