I think I jumped the gun putting this thread out so early for two reasons:

The year's not quite out yet, and people aren't thinking about their year end lists this early in the month.
There are already two more events running at the same time as this one, and it's a lot to keep up with.

So I'd like everyone to take their time with this thread, and I'll extend all the deadlines to make this January's event instead of dumping it on the December pile, but I did think it important to get the event thread out before others started creating their year-end-summaries.

I'll start pushing this again closer to the end of the month.
