The western world has been dominated by Christian beliefs for a long time, it's only natural that those stuck in their old ways would see multiculturalism as a threat, all it needs is a bit of time, forcing it does nothing but push the stubborn ones further apart.
That being said I've heard the same old PC gone mad arguments over and over but never seen any evidence of it and the fact the only source of it here comes from fox news says a lot O.o
