Well, in my post, I believe I called it wishful thinking.
It seems most rapists can be assigned to different categories depending on what their motives for rape is. Here's a quotation from the wikipedia article on

They nurture a fantasy or idea that a person might like to be raped and this helps justify the violent act. I worry that rape pornography (like hentai where non-consensual sex is very common) can both make rape seem attractive to the viewers as well as support the fantasy that some women like to be raped.
