Here's my review of American Dog's Mean album.
Well American Dog where formed in 1999. Out of the ashes of a band called Hilljack which featured Michael Hannon and Keith Pickens. They recruited Steve Theado to play guitar and the rest is history. They've released to date seven studio albums one EP and two live albums. This is there seventh studio release. There brand of balls out hard rock really surprised me when I heard the band back in 2002. I became a fan of there bluesy based rock songs that took me back to rock music of my youth. But they have a modern approach in there delivery of the music. This is one of my favorite albums by the band. If you've never heard of this band and are a fan of old school hard rock. This might be the band for you. There still delivering terrific rock music. This album sounds much more polished than there releases in the past. The stand out tracks here to me are. Just One More,Mean,Gonna Stop Drinkin' Tomorrow,This Ain't The Summer Of Love nice cover of the old Blue Oyster Cult tune, and Ain't Dead Yet. If you've ever heard this band. Let Me know what you think
