I liked this album before but the textures, the thinly veiled anger, the melancholy and the joy of music seeps through so much at this time for me.
I don't want to be depressed but I don't want joy either. I just want that quintessential melancholic sound that I have come to love from us Brits.
I thought it was a fantastic album before what happened to my family but now I think it is superlative.
In one track we go from wistful nostalgia to controlled outrage and anger. Succinct. Stunning live rendition.
