I'm hopeful that seeking out new music will always be of interest to me. I think it will, as it's been an integral part of my life since I was very young. There's so much music I want to hear, that I've still not checked out. SO much. At the moment, I spend roughly half the time listening to new music (and by new, I mean new to me, not necessarily music that's just been released), and half the time listening to albums I love but haven't heard in a while. This week I was once more blown away by Gang of Four's first two albums, The Feelies' Crazy Rhythms, a few Royal Trux albums, and Sleep's discog - I'd not heard any of those bands for a while and they're as great (and in some cases, even better) than I remember. Perhaps one day, I'll settle for listening to albums like these that I love, and not really bothering with 'new' stuff. I hope not, though.
