I consider myself quite in-tune with older generations and understood most of the jokes in the film, I just didn't find it all that funny.

I don't even think it is aimed at your age group. It is a big production that was probably watched by more 16-25 year olds than any other age group.

I get that certain references may hit home to you personally, but even those surely don't make up for what was a completely sub-par comedy.
