I had to sit through both the remake of Arthur and Bridesmaids for a work thing tonight.
It was painful but I need the money.
Russel Brand's remake of Arthur pretty much epitomized absolutely everything wrong with mainstream entertainment in my eyes. A completely useless and unnecessary remake of a better film for no other reason than to place current products.
Bridesmaids. Just ugh

The bridal shower one-upping scene that goes on four times longer than necessary was painful enough. Then they decided to make the airplane bit even longer. To the filmmakers credit, the seemingly endless airplane bit is the only time I've ever had a film make me feel like I was actually trapped in an airplane (that's not really a good thing though). Was cool seeing one of the dude's from The IT Crowd playing something different too.
