Sorry, new to the forum... Just getting to grips with it, totally didn't realise my answer was 50 pages in!
Of course women can be funny. Its just that comedy has always been something of a male orientated world. I think it is more difficult for women to become successful comedians.
But in general life, women are as funny as men. Funny transcends gender, a good comedian is funny regardless of their sex.
