I tried reading them, but around book four, I just lost interest. The characters are boring, two dimensional, and cheesy, the world is rather unrealized and also two dimensional, and I'm pretty sure the author hates women (not to mention he has a serious S&M fetish). Seriously, the amount of violent rape scenes and "close calls" just becomes gratuitous and offensive after a while. I could go on with all the things that bother me about those books, but I don't really have the energy for that kind of rant at the moment.
