SIANspheric - Somnium (1995)
Mr Dave mentioned them in the recommendations thread and curiosity led me to investigate. This is some pretty great shoegaze/space-rock from Canada. Soft and floaty delay-drenched soundscapes are broken up by what I can only describe as stratospheric sheets of distortion raining down from the heavens. The vocals are pretty well-done for music like this, they have a bit of a soulful feel and they play a big part in their songs. This is an album that will take your head into the clouds and blow your mind in the process.
