You will never be able to drown out a piccolo. Trust me on this one. I wish I had one though. But I'm afraid to play it - my friend plays a lot of piccolo in our university concert band and orchestra, and she's actually starting to lose her high frequency hearing. I'm just a regular flute player for now.
