Take a look at Blue mics. Mine is the Yeti and has 4 different kinds of mics for different recording styles/instruments and they all sound incredible.
edit: If you have an audio input for a mic already then just get a regular mic not usb.

The Zoom H1 is very nice (I got one myself) and I think the latest version can be set up as a USB microphone.
I don't need that because they all got a line out which you can plug into your computer, either to the line-in or microphone. I got a power adapter thing so that I don't need batteries and with the tripod .. It basically works as a very good PC mic that I can take with me to record stuff if I want.
So, I second Sk's suggestion!
