Well, if you're having crazy, inappropriate emotional responses to things, maybe that could be explained by some sort of condition, but I don't think not being permanently devastated by the loss of a cat would really qualify. And everyone lives in a sh*t town where injustices occur. Sure, it angers you, but if humans weren't able to become somewhat acclimated to those sorts of things enough so they're able to live their own lives, we probably wouldn't be here.
Call it the more insensitive nature of our societal evolution, but it's not something I'd blame on myself to the point where I had to feel miserable every day because no one else does.
