This actually used to be my favorite IE album when I was younger, since it was definitely their most accessible, but over the years I have just lost all interest in that album.

Burnt Offerings, Horror Show, and Something Wicked This Way Comes were vastly superior if you want to get into Mat Barlow era Iced Earth.
One of my fav aspects of 90's and 00 metal, were bands being influenced by Metallica for an album or two, from Iced Earth to Paradise Lost to Corrosion of Conformity and upto Trivium all put out great Metallica sounding albums, in fact bands that sound like Metallica could be a good war on Metal Wars

As for Matt Barlow era Iced Earth

Something Wicked This way Comes>Burnt Offerings>The Dark Saga>Horror Show.
