I think most of the best TV unless it's American goes under most peoples radars because it's not promoted as heavily as films are.

Stuff like State of Play, House Of Cards or David Peace's Red Riding trilogy are better than most films I've ever seen yet I doubt anyone outside the UK has heard of them.
