I remember catching The Horrors at the 100 Club some time around the release of Strange House, and they were awful. I consequently discarded them as a trite fad, destined to adorn the front cover of the NME for a few months then fade into obscurity.
Needless to say, their progression into a band with artistic merit has surprised me; both Primary Colours and Skying are great albums. Such a far cry from the days of Faris 'Rotter' and the black face paint.
