I want to be able to copy source(not re-encoded) video files from my DVR to my PC as painlessly as possible(HD channels). I hear that TiVo DVRs have the ability to
copy files to PC. Are these files encrypted or are they clean source files? I want to be able to re-encode for size.
I have Comcast internet, and apparently I can use something like
this with it if I use a Cablecard decoder from comcast.
The other option is grabbing a Hauppage HD PVR for way more money.
