But I still love first 3 albums by Amorphis. Elegy was actually the first one I heard, and though not a Death Metal release, still highly enjoyable in its own right.

The first four Amorphis albums go from death metal to melodic death metal with doom, folk metal and finally onto a more straight up metal/hard rock sound, whilst most of the time being progressive as well. They did a lot on four albums.
