I was just giving a suggestion. And if nothing else, I
know the neck of any instrument is a point of inspection because if it becomes warped, it doesn't hold tune well. And whether or not a violin is more bowed than a guitar to the point you can't check the neck in the fashion I stated, they know that the neck is generally a weak point they need to check out if buying used. So regardless, I'd say it was valid point.
