I think it's the shock of seeing factory videos where so many animals per unit time are methodically stripped of their lives
and the grisly examples of where the machinery fails to work properly, mangling and torturing live animals who are supposed to be dead.
There are unnecessarily cruel 'hands on' methods too, but the bulk offenses seem the most hellish.
