When your lead vocalist dies of a drug overdose, people just fall in love with the band and seem to remember the band as the best thing since sliced bread. The same ocurred with Mother Love Bone and Blind Melon. I doubt if people would be raving about these bands if the lead singer hadn't passed away

Even though I prefer Pearl Jam to Soundgarden, Soundgarden were without doubt one of the best hard rock acts of the 1990s, so are worthy of all the paludits they receive.
