No it isn't.
When I talk about cross genre appeal I'm talking about pop fans, jazz fans, hip hop fans, electronica fans, classical fans, folk fans, reggae fans and so on and so on. The sort of people who don't usually buy hard rock albums. Not fans of some other slightly different brand of guitar rock.
