I guess, yeah, there's a difference between big and fat.
Also, it's how you dress yourself/how you view yourself.
If you're a size 20 US and you dress in skimpy clothing with your stomach hanging out, that ain't hot. If you know how to dress, and wear something nice for your body, I think it's totally hot.
Also, if you're confident and you want to wear whatever you want to wear, it doesn't matter about everyone else's opinion. Of course, this thread is about opinion, so I guess this aspect of the argument wouldn't be valid.
Regarding the more negative comments, I don't think it's right to insult anyone. If someone doesn't want to BE with you because of how you look, fine. But that's still no reason to call anyone a "disgusting fatty". That's just nasty and unnecessary.
