Being a musician in my mid 50"s that has been playing professionally since i was 15.(getting paid to play,not garage bands) i have played most every style of music.There is not one style of music that I can not find something I really like, or, on the other hand, a lot, i really don't like. I am currently playing in a country band and though i haven't played in one since the early 70"s, i am impressed with all the styles of music that are intertwined in the current country music that is being done now.there is rap, there is rock, there is blues, there is bluegrass. there is jazz, pretty much you name it, its there. I guess what i am trying to say that if you keep a closed mind and hear a song or 2 from a certain style and think it totally blows, that doesn't mean that the whole style does.Keep a open mind and you will learn so much more and you will be surprised the things you will pick up from every style that will make you a more complete and better musician.
