i don't study these days
but back when I did my law course, i either put on extreme metal or Radio One (mostly British pop hits) at loud volumes, to the extent I got a lot of complains from other students at the library from the noise that was leaking out of my Walkman earphones
i'm one of those rare ones that can listen separately from what I'm reading
it's the same at work now, i put on really raucous stuff when i'm working - gets the job done faster
