My journalism teacher recommended this to me. Essentially it's a book that explores Christian spirituality as opposed to the Christian religion. It was very well written, the novel had myriad brilliant metaphors intertwined with the central message of the novel. However, there were several ridiculously cheesy "...and god loves me because..." moments and the ending fizzled out and died. For the experience and contemplation on the difference between religion and spirituality, I'd say that this is a 7/10. I'd suggest it to someone who is quick to question their religion but still wants to remain faithful to that religion.
