I'll always remember the massive media frenzy when the Licence To Ill tour hit the UK.

I was about 12 or 13 years old at the time. I know in the States there's always this controversy in the media every time some 'Shocking' band comes along, but in the UK it's really rare this ever happens and gets prime time news coverage.

As soon as the Beastie Boys hit the UK you had all these moral crusaders appearing on the news demanding they be banned from playing because they swore, had topless cage dancers and giant inflatable penises

I, and most people I went to school with however thought it was the coolest thing ever and the Licence To Ill album became a landmark in my childhood.

I was barely out of nappies when punk hit the mainstream, Thanks Adam. You and your two buddies gave me MY punk rock, and for that I will always be grateful to you.
