Apparently lots of people had similar experiences with this man's work to mine and I'll reminisce here too:

I was in 7th or 8th grade when I first heard of the band. That was because a friend of mine had bought the Licensed To Ill cassette and taped the insert to his 3-ring binder so that it showed the entire linear plane-crash. I spent most of that year contemplating how awesome the album cover is. Of course Fight for Your Right was heard constantly on the radio and MTv at the time and their inflatable penis was all over the news. I didn't love the song or video but damn if I didn't love that album cover.

Around that time I stayed up late to watch their Letterman interview. One of the memories burned into my brain is Dave asking them their ages and MCA responding that he was 12.

Later, in college dorm life I drank countless cheap beers and smoked much weed while watching the 'Sabotage' video. In one semester I'm sure I watched that thing 1000 times. And 'Ill Communication' became one of my favorite albums simply because I heard it so goddam many times that year.

Adam Yauch had the best voice of the three by far and my ears always perked up during his verses in all of their songs. He also was probably the first person ever who I thought looked good with a full beard. I'll never forget him.
