Like Urban most of us in the U.K first experienced Beastie Boys through the Licensed To Ill album and all the furore that surrounded them but on later inspection they are a band that united many fans as they love both Punk and Hip Hop and are always respectful to both genres and played both with aplomb. Their Hip Hop tracks were always performed live in the studio and added a lot more gravitas to their music for those unfamiliar to Hip Hop.
R.I.P Sir and such a young age to die (as known from experience).
Who knew that Beastie Boys could give us such music?
