Tortoise comes to mind, but they are more post-rock. Is krautrock a dead genre?

Cul de Sac did an album with Damo Suzuki called "Abhaymudra". Sounds a lot like CAN
Technically Krautrock only refers to the genre from the 60s and 70s. BUT some bands that have a definite Kraut influence:
Bondage Fruit is a Japanese band classified as Zeuhl. There last cd was released in 05, not sure what their current status is.
Cloudland Canyon has about 5 cds. Last one in 2010.
The Alps. Be careful cause there is another band called The Alps. The right band has only 3 albums last one 2011 titled "Easy Action".
Circle is a band from Finland. They've been releasing discs since 94 and are still putting out stuff as of this year.
