yeah i think so, there is still a pretty big disconnect between real and what the stereotype rappers perpetuate. It's more a promoted ideology, that's accepted because it's simplicity and almost-cartoon like qualities, as oppose to say the message of a mainstream culture.

Pop-Country is nearly the same. I don't think most of the audience really relates to small town lifestyle but they still love music bolstering that idea.
