Just now, I had plans to read thoroughly the entire thread. But I got bored pretty quickly and figured a browse would suffice. As for sponsorship and popularity of gaming, it looks like you were arguing against a possible argument that nobody even made, but you expected them to make. That being that wide popularity qualifies something as a sport.
