It's all been done before. There has been so much music in the past few decades that musically and especially lyrically, it's hard to create a batch of songs that is a "game-changer."

Lady Gaga came close on her first album, and by the way, she's had at least one hit that is over 5 minutes long.

Also, I'm thinking something about the marketability of lyrically complex songs in markets where English isn't the official language, but I really do not know how Americanized music is there.
