I happen to like them (runs....)
A mate at work gave me a copy of "A rush of blood to the head", I played it not expecting much and found I loved it. I then listened to "Parachutes" and "X and Y", and liked both of them, though I must admit I haven't yet listened to either of the two since.

I'm not one of these who refuses to listen to music just because everyone else says it's crap. I make up my own mind. Coldplay probably would not have been a band I would have investigated, but now that I have I find I like their music. Whether they deserve all the vitriol they get is another thing, but as far as I'm concerned those three albums are great, esp "A rush of blood".
