Prince of Darkness (1987)
Slowly but surely my John Carpenter collection is coming to a close, although I will have to say this is probably my least favourite one (keep in mind I have yet to see his 1998 film
Vampires.) The premise was pretty interesting, and Donald Pleasence put on a great performance, but I just didn't really end up caring about any of the characters, they all just seemed to be setups to some bad punchline. It's on Instant Netflix so if you're a John Carpenter fan and this movie is a hole in your filmography then I suppose I'd recommend it, or you could just rewatch
The Thing or
In the Mouth of Madness
