I thought it was obvious we were going to have to agree to disagree about our choices in music. I was commenting that there is some overlap in our tastes, no need to be snarky about its position on my list. Its more for me than anyone else.

As a band I'd never heard before, it was a great album. It wasn't mind-blasting enough for me to score it higher than a whole slew of established artists I follow that released fantastic work last year. The reason I had a top 100 albums was because I follow a lot of genres of music like jazz, hip-hop, rock, metal, instrumental guitar, funk, and weird hybrids therein.

If I broke down and made top lists by genres, it might have broken the top 10 easily in its category.

Now that I know you dig Fear and the Nervous System, I should be able to recommend some similar bands to you. Gotta find the positive here. Negativity helps no one. This isn't an e-peen contest. We're all here, hopefully, to hear about new artists we may enjoy.
