Well, I still dunno, Scholes is an opportunist (coincidentally the very best footballer in the world
), and a lot of his finishes are from chances he's taken advantage of, even though to most players they aren't really chances at all. Mind you, he's ageing and can't keep going as much, hence Carrick.
Being a United fan, I'd agree that he is necessary at Old Trafford, but I'd probably think twice about England.
